When it comes to the practice of law one thing is certain, experience counts.  Tim has more than 29 years of experience as a practicing lawyer.  Tim is a native of Bend, Oregon.  He received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from Willamette University College of Law.  He spent additional time studying at Oxford University's Balliol College through the University of California, where he studied Regulatory Law and he has served as a legislative aid to the Hon. Robert F. Smith, United States House of Representatives.  Tim is admitted to practice in the state of Oregon before all trial and appellate courts and the United States District Courts for both jurisdictions.  Tim is also licensed in the State of Idaho, where he is currently inactive.  Tim has extensive business experience, has been a registered lobbyist, prosecuting criminal attorney, and developer.  He is a Land Use Hearings Officer, hearing and deciding land use cases and applications, and he is the Compliance Hearings Officer for both Jefferson County and Lake County, Oregon, hearing and deciding code enforcement cases.  Tim has substantial experience in civil trial and business practice.

Tim's regional practice focuses on Civil Litigation, Construction, Personal Injury and Wrongful Death, Business Law, Real Estate, Criminal Defense, Corporate, Commercial and Sales Law, Title and Insurance Law, etc.  Tim is both a civil and criminal trial lawyer.  As a native of Bend, Oregon, he is intimately familiar with both the local and regional business and political climate.

Thomas J. Hanacek

Thomas J. Hanacek graduated from University of Mississippi School of Law in 2021 in Oxford, Mississippi. He received his undergraduate degree from Northwest Nazarene University in 2016 in Political Science and Business Administration. Thomas was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2023.  Prior to and during law school, Thomas worked as a legal intern for a medical malpractice firm in the Portland Oregon area.  Here he garnered valuable experience assisting attorneys in the discovery phase of litigation.

Thomas enjoys playing golf competitively and for leisure. Thomas also loves all the outdoor activities that are available in Central Oregon, especially mountain lake fishing and hiking.
